Final Expense Coverage Questions
Is burial life insurance the same as a prepaid funeral?
Not necessarily. Life insurance provides a death benefit under the policy's terms. A prepaid funeral arrangement concerns specific funeral services. Ask who receives the money, what is covered, and whether any funeral prices are actually guaranteed.
Does the full death benefit begin immediately?
Do not assume it does. Ask whether the proposed policy has a waiting period, graded benefit, or other early-year limitation, and what it pays during that period. Celena will review the actual policy terms; this website does not promise immediate coverage or approval.
How much coverage should I request?
Begin with the expenses you want to address and resources already available. Existing life insurance or savings may reduce the need for another policy. The review helps you compare the remaining need with a premium you can maintain—not a one-size-fits-all amount.
Can I review a policy I already own?
Yes. Bring the policy summary and premium information to the conversation. Keep existing coverage in place while comparing options. A replacement can introduce new costs, underwriting, or policy limitations and is not automatically an improvement.
